Self-officiated means we rely on each other
You accept these when you register. They're short because they're mostly about being a decent adult.
There are no referees
Games are self-officiated. Call your own fouls. If there's a disagreement, the two players involved sort it in a few seconds and play restarts — a retaken free kick costs nothing. Nobody wins an argument on a recreational field.
The game captain is not a referee
Each game has a volunteer game captain. Their job is logistics: arrive a few minutes early, confirm who's present, even up the sides, start on time, keep play safe, and submit the result afterwards. They don't adjudicate. Treat them as the person who volunteered so you didn't have to.
Play safe
No slide tackles from behind, no studs up, no shoulder charges into people who don't see it coming. Recreational players have jobs on Monday. If someone is clearly out of their depth, adjust — don't punish them for it.
Answer the confirmation
Reply Playing or Not Playing when asked. If you don't confirm, we plan without you. Telling us you can't make it always costs less than silence: declining a day or more out is free, inside a day costs a little, and confirming then not turning up costs the most. Two of those in one cycle pauses you from new rosters until you re-confirm.
Games always run
There is no minimum headcount. Whoever shows, the captain plays the format the numbers give — even up the sides with who is there. We only cancel for weather or a venue problem.
Respect the field and the venue
We rent these spaces on the strength of our reputation. Leave it as you found it, respect the booked window, park where you're told. One bad night can cost an area its only field.
Conduct that gets you removed
Threats, intimidation, discrimination, deliberate dangerous play, or repeated abuse. Report it in the app — reports are private to administrators, other attendees may be asked to confirm what they saw, and repeat reports escalate automatically. Outcomes range from a warning to suspension to permanent removal, with no refund.
Teams change every 4 games
That's the point. You'll play with and against most of the people in your area over a season. Be someone people are glad to see on their side.
Messaging
In-app chat is for organising games. No selling, no soliciting payments, no harassment. Phone numbers and emails are automatically removed from messages; you can block anyone, and blocked players are never placed on your team.
